Read Write Poem/Day 18/Meow

Fingers splayed,
lungs full first, then
emptied with a forward lean,
a roar,
a tongue stuck out,
eyes wide and sure,
a roar from the bottom of the belly,
one that awakens
your lion heart.

I was fifteen and felt
embarrassed, but intrigued,
willing to try it again.
